Chicago, Illinois attorney Julia Williams focuses her legal practice on business, consumer and commercial litigation in federal and state courts. Her broad practice experience includes consumer matters such as mortgage fraud and fraud in the sale of educational services, business contract disputes including settlement with a Fortune 500 company that permitted the corporations to maintain their business relationship, and business litigation obtaining dismissal of claim against the individual shareholders of a corporation. Ms. Williams’ experience also encompasses class action litigation, legal malpractice and attorney fees disputes, and insurance coverage matters.
Ms. Williams acts as a volunteer attorney for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, where she represents low-income clients in probate matters. She is a Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Public Outreach Committee. There, she heads up the “Serving Our Seniors” initiative, which in conjunction with the Center for Disability and Elder Law provides basic estate planning services to low-income seniors.
